Which Universities Offer a Master’s in Public Health?

Interested in studying public health in Germany? Here are some tips to make the process as easy as possible. There are two types of master’s degrees: non-consecutive and consecutive. In Germany, students are usually required to complete a PROPAEDEUTIC COURSE to meet the requirements of the university. Non-recognized certificates will require further examinations and preparation. Talented candidates can be admitted with a few required tests and a sample of work. However, they will need to pay around 200EUR to get their assessment document.

The MPH program is offered by the Faculty of Medicine at LMU. It lasts two years and comprises 120 ECTS. The curriculum consists of mandatory courses and advanced modules, including a thesis. Students can complete the program in either German or English. Some universities are bilingual – one of the most important requirements for admission is a proficiency level in German. If you are interested in studying public health in Germany, this might be the right option for you.

Universitat Bremen is another excellent choice. It offers a Master of Science in Global Urban Health. You will take 60 ECTS, and the program is taught in English. Depending on your chosen program, you’ll study for one or two semesters and complete a thesis in the second. Uni Bielefeld, founded in 1969, is a popular choice, and its campus is surrounded by the Teutoburg Forest. It was ranked 20th in the world by the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings.
